Nothing else but nature – Hiking Chua Chan Mountain
Located in Xuan Loc Commune of Dong Nai Province, Chua Chan Mountain is about 130 kilometer away from HCMC with 837 metres high. It is also the second-highest peak in the southeastern region of Vietnam after Black Virgin Mountain in Tay Ninh. Most young people prefer trekking and camping on this mountain.
– By coach: Buying ticket from Mien Dong Bus Station to Duc Linh – Binh Thuan and ask the driver for stopping at entrance gate of Chua Chan mountain. Then, catching a Motorbike taxi driver for more 3 km to foot of the mountain.
– By bus: Taking a bus No.12 from Ben Thanh market to Big C supermarket bus station ( DongNai) and the catch a bus No.10 to Xuan Loc Bus Station.
– By motorbike: You can ride following google map
How to conquer the mountain?
There are many ways to conquer Chua Chan mountain. You can either follow the electricity poles (the easiest way) or walk along the path behind Buu Quang Temple ( harder for hiking but there’re many activities waiting for you enjoy. Be careful with the bees 🐝) or even following the electricity poles to climb up and choosing Buu Quang Temple path for going down.
There is a cable way that could help shorten the trekking time but experience by yourself is better. Tickets priced at cable car is VND140,000 for adults and VND70,000 for children. But it only coming to Buu Quang Temple, you must continue if u wanna conquer the top of mountain.
If u don’t know which way to get the top,please asking the local people avoid being lost. At the top there is an information station and a unit of soldiers for an emergency.
You can bring your friend group along if you wanna enjoy camping overnight at the top of mountain. You can hire a tent at the entrance gate. Just remember:
